Get to Know a Crystal Daily | Labradorite

Welcome to Get to Know a Crystal Daily. In this series, we break down the basics of popular crystals—from their origins to their energy. Today, we’re starting with Labradorite.

Uncut or unpolished labradorite looks like an ordinary rock. However, once cut and polished, labradorite exhibits a characteristic known as labradorescence, producing a multicolored, opalescent shimmer similar to opal or moonstone. The Inuit believe that labradorite connects the earthly realm with the unseen world.
