Get to Know a Crystal Daily | Jade
Welcome to Get to Know a Crystal Daily. In this series, we break down the basics of popular crystals—from their origins to their energy. Today, we’re starting with Jade.
Jade has been used since ancient times, often carved into jewelry and other objects. Most people think of green when they think of jade, but it also occurs in white and orange. Because jade has been prized for so long and across so many cultures, there is a great deal of treated and dyed jade on the market. To determine whether jade is genuine, examine whether the color appears regular—especially under magnification. If the color appears uneven, it is likely authentic.
